Boston College Eagles defensemen Tommy Cross received some exciting news on Tuesday, as the Boston Bruins officially signed him to an entry-level contract.
According to the Bruins press release, Cross will make his AHL debut on Friday, Apr. 13, with the Providence Bruins.
Cross was drafted by the Bruins in the second round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, and has taken part in the team’s Development Camps over the past few summers.
This past season, the Eagles senior defensemen recorded five goals, 19 assists and 101 shots, and was certainly a major catalyst behind the school’s fifth National Championship.
Cross was also a member of the Eagles 2010 National Championship team, too.
