On Monday, July 16, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology announced their 2012-13 freshman football class, which features 22 student-athletes.
According to the athletic department’s press release — a majority of the new Engineers hail from California and New York, while some are from Arkansas, Illinois, Oklahoma and Washington.
“I’m very excited about this year’s incoming freshmen class,” head coach Chad Martinovich said in the press release. “It’s a very talented group and several of them will compete for playing time very early in their college careers at MIT.”
Last season, the Engineers concluded their campaign with two wins and seven losses.
