Mass. College Football: Evening Roundup

Here are the results and highlights from Saturday evening’s contests.

Becker College 34, Husson 7 – In Leicester, it was a huge day for Hawks’ quarterback Robert Baker. He was 30-of-45 for 491 yards and four touchdowns. Luis Sanchez and Corinthian Bostic combined for over 350 receiving yards and three scores.

No. 17 Clemson 45, Boston College 31 – At Chestnut Hill, the Eagles didn’t have enough for a team coming off a whipping at the hands of the Seminoles last week. Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd threw for 367 yards and three touchdowns.

Ohio 37, UMass 34 – The Minutemen took a seven-point lead into the final quarter, but couldn’t hang on against the undefeated Bobcats. UMass quarterback Mike Wegzyn threw for 373 yards and four touchdowns in the losing effort.

Union College 49, Springfield College 21 - Union jumped out to a three touchdown lead and never looked back en route to their second Liberty League victory. Pride quarterback Jonathan Marrero, who made his first collegiate start, concluded the contest 4-of-10 for 118 yards with two touchdowns. He also rushed for 128 yards on 22 carries and recorded one touchdown, too.
