It’s only been a few weeks since the collegiate lacrosse season began, but one team that has certainly raised a few eyebrows across the state is the Curry College Colonels, who’re currently sporting a 6-1 record.

Curry tallied their sixth win of the 2012 campaign on Wednesday, Mar. 21 against UMass Boston, and are currently on par to match their win total from 2010, (the Colonels finished that season with an 8-9 record).

However, their last seven games have been against non-conference foes, so the real test will come for the Purple and White on Wednesday, Mar. 28, when they host Endicott College under the lights at Walter M. Katz Field. The Gulls are currently on a two-game winning streak, and will return to the grass on Saturday, as they travel to Springfield College for a critical non-conference clash.

Last season, the Gulls defeated the Colonels, 22-6 in Beverley, so it’ll be interesting to see how head coach Steve Bachelor’s team does against Endicott next week at home.
