Merrimack 3, Boston University 2 (OT) – The Warriors are still unbeaten this year . At Agganis Arena, Brandon Brodhag tied the game with a power-play goal with less than two minutes remaining in the third period. Then in overtime, Connor Toomey won it for Merrimack on with just 22 seconds left in the extra period.
Boston College 2, Northeastern 1 – There was plenty of drama at the other end of Commonwealth Ave., as Tommy Cross scored on the power play with 2.8 seconds left to give the Eagles the win at Kelley Rink. BC outshot NU, 36-18.
UMass-Lowell 5, Maine 3 – In Orono, Matt Ferreira scored a pair of goals, as the River Hawks picked up the win on the road. Joey Diamond had two goals for the Black Bears in a losing effort.
UMass-Amherst 7, Holy Cross 2 – Conor Allen had a hat trick for the Minutemen, as they rolled over the Crusaders at the Mullins Center. Allen is the third defenseman in UMass’ Division I history to score three goals in a game.
Providence 3, Alabama-Huntsville 0 – Alex Beaudry recorded his first shutout of the season, as the Friars won a non-conference game at Schneider Arena. Beaudry stopped all 21 shots he faced. These two teams meet again tonight in Providence.
