Prince Fielder and the National League took care of business at the MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday!

Good Wednesday to EVERYONE and welcome into yet another edition of the Daily Noontime! It’s going to be a swell, but also, amazing day, right? OK, enough motivational advice, here’s Wednesday’s headlines and news! 

Headlines: 

* Apparently Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is about to add another endorsement deal to his resume.

* Tuesday was an interesting day for Milwaukee Brewers Price Fielder, who apparently was booed at the 82nd MLB All-Star Game.

* The New York Mets have made an interesting trade recently, as they sent Francisco Rodriguez to the Brewers for a player to be named later.

* So was it a good or bad thing that New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter didn’t appear at the MLB All-Star Game?

* The NBA Lockout continues and well, apparently the league announced Tuesday they’ll give players back their money they’ve earned.

* Apparently the fan who caught Derek Jeter’s 3,000th hit this past weekend is in trouble, but why?

Daily Noontime – July 11, 2011

Team USA defeated Brazil, but now, one has to wonder, where do they go from here?

What’s up and what’s good my friends? Happy Monday to everyone, including all the mother’s and father’s across America because really they deserve some love too, right?

Any who, enough ranting, here’s the Daily Noontime for Monday July 11, 2011! 

Headlines: 

* Sunday was an exciting day for the United States of America, as they turned their attention to a sport that no one truly cares about…soccer, but really, Women’s World Cup soccer ruled the airwaves, as fans watched Team USA beat Brazil in shootouts.

* According to some reports, Team USA showed “guts” in order to beat the Brazilians in the first round of “knock-outs” on Sunday in Germany.

* Monday promises to be an exciting evening for all MLB fans, as the All-Star game festivities continue with the home run derby at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.

* We’ve heard this story so many times, but now, sources believe the NFL is “moving closer to a deal.”

* New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez will miss the next four to six weeks due to knee surgery.

* Apparently some believe that Yao Ming‘s retirement from basketball could impact the NBA in the future.

Daily Noontime – April 27, 2011

Vancouver is celebrating, as the Canucks defeated the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 7 on Tuesday!

Good Wednesday morning to everyone and welcome to yet another Daily Noontime! Here is today’s biggest news, headlines and more, along with our awesome video of the day!

Headlines: 

* The Chicago Blackhawks were close, incredibly close to upsetting the Vancouver and moving onto the second round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, but in overtime, the Canucks beat the Hawks, 2-1.

* Despite leading the Orlando Magic, 3-1, the Atlanta Hawks appeared incredibly flat on Tuesday, as the team from Disney World won and forced a Game 6.

* The series was tied, 2-2, but after Tuesday, the Los Angles Lakers earned their third win of the series, as they defeated the New Orleans Hornets, 106-90.

* According to sources, Indianapolis Colts quarter Peyton Manning apparently “tanks the NFL concussion test.”

* It seems that yet again, Jay Cutler is in the news again, but this time, he’s being honored for popping the question to his girlfriend, Kristin Cavallari.

* Believe it or not, MLB has already begun the All-Star voting process, which seems quite strange, right? The All-Star game is played in July, but apparently, professional baseball is already thinking about the summer.

My Opinion toward the MLB All-Star Game

MLB All-Star is a fun time, not a real game!

MLB All-Star is a fun time, not a real game!

Great moments, great opportunities! What am I trying to say it like Kurt Russell did in Disney’s Miracle? Why would I even borrow those wise words to describe the past and present MLB All-Star Game? Seriously, this game is the biggest joke ever! It makes the NFL Pro-Bowl seem serious, which it really is not true for one bit. I am telling you that I would rather sit back, relax, and read awful grocery store magazines or watch CSPAN highlights of Congress that day instead of spending three hours on my couch watching this thing.

Do you like the All-Star Game? Does it appeal to you more than it did in the early 1990’s because if the AL or NL wins their team will have home-field advantage throughout the World Series? This is crazy talk! Why can’t Bud Selig just allow the best team in baseball, which would have the best record be the home team? Would that make more sense? I think so!

How about these awful commercials that emphasize, THIS ONE COUNTS! Why not play those during the MBL Playoffs when it does count! Why not play those ads before a high school graduation ceremony, when getting a diploma does indeed count! How about playing it before your first day of work, because working hard seems to count!

Playing in an All-Star game is probably an amazing feeling, but between all the smiles, hugs, high fives, and joking around that occurs, it really loses its meaning of trying to be a competitive game. I mean, do you think Dan Uggla was upset after making a couple of errors in route to another NL defeat last season’s summer classic? I doubt it! I’m sure he just shrugged it off and resumed play once the vacation from baseball was over.

Overall, I am not a fan of the All-Star Game and just think that it is a total joke! What do you think?
