* Despite earning an exciting win on Monday, the Patriots also watched defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth play quite well in his first regular contest with New England.

* Once again, Manny Ramirez found himself in more trouble, as he was recently arrested and charged with battery on Monday.

* Kyle Orton and the Denver Broncos were punished on Monday evening against the Oakland Raiders, who beat their divisional foe, 23-20.

* According to recent reports, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick wants to figure out how to stop blitz packages, so he can remain comfortable in the pocket.

* It was an exciting finish at the U.S. Open on Monday, as the world sawNovak Djokovic captured the title and defeated Rafael Nadal.

* After losing Game 2 to the Dallas Mavericks, Miami recovered completely on Sunday, as the Heat won Game 3 of the NBA Finals in the Lone Star State.

* It’s not every day that the French Open committee makes mistakes with their trophies, right? After the women’s finals on Sunday, something embarrassing happened.

* Rafael Nadal did it again, as he won his sixth French Open Final against Roger Federer on Sunday.

* Former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress will leave jail on Monday and according to some reports, he’ll be a top NFL free-agent once the lockout ends.

* It certainly was an exciting weekend for the St. Louis Cardinals, but really, Albert Pujols, who hit two back-to-back home runs on Saturday and Sunday.

* The NHL Stanley Cup Finals resumes Monday and for one special Canadian soldier overseas, he certainly has enjoyed the Vancouver Canucks run toward their first ever championship.

* Did Matthew Stafford‘s teammate, Zack Follet say something wrong about his Detroit Lions teammate?

* The Boston Celtics defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday, but were able to welcome back Kendrick Perkins to the line-up.

* Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has officially signed up with a new sponsor, which is his first since being in prison.

* New York Yankees Hank Steinbrenner has admitted that his team needs to win a World Series again.

* Apparently Los Angles Lakers forward Lamar Odom and Boston Celtics forward Shaquille O’Neal are being sued by an endorser.

* Chicago Bears third string quarterback Caleb Hanie looked like a possible starter for the 2011 season.

* Rafael Nadal continues to have no problem at the Australian Open, he has made his way toward the quarterfinals.

* Could the Denver Nuggets send Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks?

* After the Chicago Bears lost to the Packers on Sunday, is it fair to say that their quarterback Jay Cutler isn’t so tough after all?

* Good news for Golf fans, Tiger Woods remains atop of the charts, which maybe a good or bad omen.

* Vince Young had his shot with the Tennessee Titans for the past four seasons, although now, he is jobless and still believes he is a legit quarterback that needs a home.

* Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ike Taylor has decided to let all the media and New York Jets know that he will “lay out” Santonio Holmes on Sunday during the AFC Championship game.

* Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be headed to the hospital to undergo foot surgery, which according to multiple reports.

* It could be possible that the Dallas Mavericks could land Carmelo Anthony due to him not being apart of New Jersey’s plan to have him traded in their direction.

* Rafael Nadal continues to impress many at the Australian Open and is on course for another Grand Slam.

* The University of Texas as reached an agreement with ESPN for 20-years, $300 million for all access coverage.

* The Ohio State Buckeyes showed the nation that they are truly number one in Men’s college basketball, as they beat Iowa on Wednesday, 70-48.

* Auburn University quarterback Cam Newton has declared for the NFL draft, but was this a good move? You decide!

* So apparently the NFL is being scored for not having welcoming home field fans throughout the 2010 NFL playoffs, yet, is that a problem?

* Former Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox has found a new home in Denver, Colorado and will be coaching the Broncos in 2011.

* Rafael Soriano has reached a quality deal with the New York Yankees and will certainly help provide a boost for their bullpen during the upcoming season.

* Boston Celtics forward Jermaine O’Neal could be headed toward having surgery due to chronic knee pain.

* Could the New York Knicks possibly land Carmelo Anthony for the remainder of their season? Certainly seems likely.

* Rafael Nadal may have a tough time winning the Australian Open this year, especially since he will play Marcos Daniel first.
