Good morning! It’s time for the Daily Noontime, which means, here are some headlines and news from the past day in Boston and New England sports.

* The Boston Bruins picked up their first win of 2012 in a convincing manner, as the Black and Gold pummeled the New Jersey Devils, 6-1. Tim Thomas recorded 30 saves, while Patrice Bergeron scored two goals. Boston will return home on Thursday when they welcome Calgary to the TD Garden.

* Despite not having Ray Allen in the line-up, the Celtics picked up their fourth consecutive win, as Boston defeated the New Jersey Nets, 89-70. Paul Pierce led the squad with 24 points, while Brandon Bass added 15 points and 13 rebounds. The Green and White will enjoy a day of rest before hosting Indiana on Friday.

* University of North Carolina Wilmington outscored Northeastern University’s men’s basketball team in the fourth quarter by eight points to earn a 70-62 victory at the Matthews Arena. The Huskies will look to snap their one-game losing streak on Saturday when they travel to James Madison University for a 2:00pm tip.

* The Independent School League featured a quadruple header at Frozen Fenway on Wednesday, and here are the results:
