Ed Ott, 1979 World Series Champions, Pittsburgh Pirates

The catcher of the 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates World Series championship team, Ed Ott, joined Noontime Sports to discuss winning a championship. Ott also mentioned how the Pirates have a lot to improve upon in order to be a successful franchise.

Ott, played eight seasons, seven with the Pirates and one with the California Angels. He is currently the manager of the Sussex Skyhawks in the CanAm League.

In his career, he scored 196 runs, recorded 465 hits, hit 33 home runs and finished with 195 RBI.
