Headlines:

* Auburn quarterback Cam Newton may now be off the hot seat, but his father, Cecil Newton may not.

* Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre continues to remain silent, but also, little information seems to be revealed about his scandal as a member of the New York Jets.

* Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs believes the NFL favors Tom Brady and Peyton Manning by giving them special treatment.

* Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison knows that his team is behind him, especially since they are not at all happy with his multiple fines.

* Are the Cleveland fans ready to welcome back LeBron James to his home? We shall see!

* It was a big night in the NHL, as the Boston Bruins blanked the Philadelphia Flyers, 3-0. Goaltender Tim Thomas added another win to his record this season.

* The Los Angles Lakers continues to struggle and lose their fourth game of the season.
