Super Bowl Sunday is vastly approaching and that can only mean one thing, which team will win this particular game? Will it be the Green Bay Packers or Pittsburgh Steelers?
Yet, besides that very important question, the other one that will involve both the Steelers and Patriots fan base will be, if quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is indeed victorious, will his three Super Bowl rings outweigh Tom Brady’s?
It is certainly a topic that should be on the mind of every New Englander, as well as those who bleed “black and yellow,” but is “Big Ben” really better than “Terrific Tom? ”
Is he possibly better than the Indianapolis Colts gunslinger, Peyton Manning who is the proud owner of only one championship ring? Is he possibly better than former other Super Bowl legends, such as Troy Aikman, John Elway, Terry Bradshaw or Joe Montana?
What would make Roethlisberger better than Brady? Would he have to win five more Super Bowls to pass him in the NFL Hall of Fame voting? Would he have to become a better role model? Would he have to go to a team that isn’t as talented as the Steelers? What exactly would he have to do to allow all the football writers and commentators to agree in unison?
Brady could be considered a great quarterback, especially since he played for three teams that won Super Bowls, but also, featured the typical non-all star receivers, such as Troy Brown, David Patten, David Givens and Deion Branch.
What if Brady had the targets that “Big Ben” has currently, which includes Mike Wallace, Hines Ward, Antwaan Randle El and Heath Miller, could he then win more games and championships? Would “Big Ben” not be in this current situation?
Again, so many questions, as well as multiple ideas that need to be considered when having this conversation because if Roethlisberger and the Steelers do prevail with a win, this discussion will definitely take off, which leaves us to our final question, who is better, “Big Ben” or Brady?
