* Former New England Patriots running back and current Denver Bronco, Laurence Maroney is now facing marijuana charges.

* MLB commissioner Bud Selig is now pushing for smokeless tobacco to be banned in the majors.

* St. Louis Cardinals all-star, Albert Pujols went 0-5 during his teams season debut against the San Diego Padres.

* Five players were ejected from a Dallas-Los Angles game on Thursday, but the Lakers still prevailed, as Kobe Bryant led his team to a 110-82 victory.

* The Bronx Bombers, a.k.a. New York Yankees earned their first win of the season on Thursday, as they defeated the Detroit Tigers, 6-3. Any chance they win 100 or 150 games?
