Happy Patriots Day to those here in Boston and for everyone else, Happy Monday! Here is today’s news and headlines, as well as your video of the day! 

Headlines:

* How about a round of applause for a local high school star, Josh Collmenter, who earned his first win in relief with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday.

* Memphis Grizzlies forward Shane Battier not only hit the game winning shot against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, but also, welcomed his new baby to the world.

* The NFL remains locked out, but according to the Detroit Lions team president, Tom Lewand, a season will occur.

* It was considered a high scoring match, but in the end, the Portland Timbers earned another MLS win against FC Dallas on Sunday.

* Ray Allen and the Boston Celtics won Game 1 of the NBA playoffs against the New York Knicks and let’s say it was indeed an exciting ending.

* The New York Rangers finally earned their first win of the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Sunday, as they defeated the Washington Capitals, 3-2.

Despite the fact that LeBron James and the Miami Heat have only won one game so far in the NBA playoffs, let’s not forget how many championships he promised for South Beach!
