* Well, it is indeed official, the Chicago Bulls beat the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday and have advanced to their first Eastern Conference Finals in the post-Michael Jordan era.

* The San Jose Sharks allowed the Detroit Red Wings to win three games in a row, but staved off elimination in Game 7 with a 3-2 win. Now, the Sharks will face the Vancouver Canucks in the Western Conference Finals.

* Tiger Woods played nine holes of golf, before withdrawing from the Players Championship.

* Sadly, the Alabama college football team received some sad news on Thursday, as offensive lineman Aaron Douglas died at the age of 21.

* A local Bostonian found his name in the news, as he was charged for stealing Red Sox memorabilia.

* While the NFL Lockout continues, Colt McCoy and his Cleveland Browns teammates continue to hold their own workouts.
