* The Dallas Cowboys earned an important win on Monday, as they defeated the Washington Redskins, 18-16.

* According to reports, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has a healthy right hand, as well as decided to back off his “criticism” toward the NFL referees.

* So much for the American League Wild Card lead, as the Boston Red Sox lost to Baltimore Orioles on Monday, as well as remain tied with the Tampa Bay Rays for the final playoff spot.

* Similar to the Red Sox, the Atlanta Braves National League Wild Card spot is technically in jeopardy, as they lost to the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday, 4-2.

* According to the stat-sheet, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has the most passing yard in a three-week NFL span.

* The Chicago White Sox have decided to accept manager Ozzie Guillen‘s orders, which is to release him from his current contract after the season concludes on Wednesday.

  1. Matt, your Boston Red Sox are in the midst of an epic collapse, and you push it to the 4th story? Come on man! I know more people are interested in football, but this is a Boston blog. Even Sports Center led with the Sox/Rays battle.
