Hockey East Pre-Season Coaches Poll

BOSTON, MA – On Tuesday, the Hockey East conference invited members of the media, as well as coaches, players and officials to the TD Garden to kick-off the 28th season of men’s ice hockey. At the event, commissioner Joe Bertagna announced and released the ’11-’12 Pre-Season Coaches Poll.

Here are the preseason rankings according to the Hockey East press release.

*1.) Boston College

2.) Boston University

3.) New Hampshire

4.) University of Maine

5.) Merrimack College

6.) University of Vermont

7.) University of Massachusetts

8.) Northeastern University

9.) University of Massachusetts – Lowell

10.) Providence College

*As noted – Boston College is predicted to finish atop the conference for the second year in the row according to the Hockey East coaches. Also, according to the press release, Eagle head coach Jerry York will welcome back 18 players from last season, which includes junior defensemen Brian Dumoulin, who was a member of the First-Team Hockey East All-Star team.
