The sixth week of the college football season is in the books and on Wednesday, the New England Football Writers’ Gridiron Club of Boston awarded Harvard’s Colton Chapple and Plymouth State’s Christian Mulcahy the Golden Helmet Award.

Here’s some information on both players, as well as their achievements from the past weekend.

* Harvard earned an impressive win against Cornell University last weekend, as well as watched their back-up gunslinger lead the Crimson from behind to beat the Big Red, 41-31. Chapple finished the game with a career high 414-yards through the air, as well as tossed four touchdowns too. The Crimson will return home to Harvard Stadium this weekend and look to win their fourth contest of the season against Bucknell University.

* Plymouth State’s Christian Mulcahy kicked the game winning field goal against MIT last weekend, which helped the Panthers earn their fourth win of the season. Against the Engineers, Mulcahy also registered three extra points, and two interceptions. Also, he returned two kick-offs for 75-yards.
