Hockey East — Saturday Scoreboard

UMass-Amherst 4, Northeastern 2 — The Minutemen are riding their longest winning streak of the season, (3 games).  At the Mullins Center, Branden Gracel‘s goal in the third period put the home team ahead to stay.

UMass-Lowell 4, Maine 3 — The River Hawks scored four times in the third period, two of them by Riley Wetmore, to rally for the victory at Orono. Brian Flynn had a goal and an assist for the Black Bears.

New Hampshire 4, Vermont 4 — In Burlington, the Catamounts pulled their goalie for an extra attacker late in the third period and it paid off. H.T. Lenz scored his second goal of the game as the home team earned a tie.

Providence 4, Alabama-Huntsville 2 — The Friars have won four in a row, thanks to a weekend non-conference sweep of the Chargers. Tim Schaller had two goals and an assist.  PC has scored eight power plays goals during their four-game winning streak.
