Bruins-Hurricanes: Third Period Recap

By Matt Noonan

BOSTON, MA – Brandon Sutter, (one goal, one assist) earned his second point of the evening when he recorded a goal at 3:13, which gave Carolina a comfortable three-point advantage.

Justin Faulk was whistled for kneeing around the eighth minute, which put Boston on its first power play of the evening. However, the men dressed in Black and Yellow didn’t exactly execute  the man advantage properly, as the Hurricanes denied a few scoring opportunities.

Boston finished the period with 20 shots, while Carolina ended the 20 minute frame with nine shots on the Bruins cage.

Interesting Note: The Bruins have not beaten the Hurricanes since Feb. 1, 2011
