Good Wednesday to everyone, and welcome into yet another awesome edition of the Daily Noontime. Here are some headlines and news to jumpstart the day, enjoy.

* The New York Rangers blanked the Boston Bruins on Tuesday evening at the TD Garden, 3-0. Tim Thomas deflected 17 shots between the pipes, while Boston outshot New York, 42-20. The Black and Gold will return to the ice on Wednesday when they travel to Montreal to kick-off a six-game road swing.

* The Lowell Spinners announced on Tuesday that they’re planning to celebrate Valentines Day on July 14, which is when they’ll be hosting, “Bobby Valentine’s Day,” in honor of the Boston Red Sox skipper. The first 1,000 fans will receive pink baseballs, while others will receive candy and baseball cards. The Red Sox will be playing in Tampa Bay on this particular date, so sadly, Bobby Valentine won’t be attending the Spinners game.

* According to sources – Kevin Garnett, who has started and played in every game this season for the Boston Celtics, is doubtful for Wednesday’s contest against the Detroit Pistons. Garnett sat out Tuesday’s practice with a hip injury, which head coach Doc Rivers believes isn’t too serious.
