Mass College Hoops Recap: Emmanuel 68, St. Joe’s (Maine) 57

BOSTON, MA – Going into the GNAC Championship, Emmanuel College women’s basketball head coach Andy Yosinoff seemed confident about his team’s chances, as her Saints used that confidence to run past St. Joe’s, 68-57.

Emmanuel’s Fiona O’Dwyer led all scorers with 24 points, while tournament MVP Meghan Kirwan ended the game with 20 points, eight assists and eight steals.

“The difference was we were on a mission, everyone was on the same page, and we are all playing well together now,” said Kirwan.

Coach Yosinoff added, “This year may have been the toughest, [but] I’m ready for the NCAA tournament because we are hot right now.”

With a 13-0 record in the conference I would say Coach Y is right on the money. Now it’s a waiting game for Emmanuel, who’ll wait for the NCAA Division III tournament schedule that’ll be released on Sunday, Feb. 26.
