Catching Up With The Mount Ida College Mustangs Football Team (VIDEO)


NEWTON, MA – On Thursday, Noontime Sports traveled to Mount Ida College to catch up with head coach Michael Landers and senior quarterback Scott Drosendahl.

The Mustangs have won three of their first four contests this season, which includes an Eastern Collegiate Football Conference victory against Norwich University.

However, Mount Ida’s biggest setback this year came in week three when they watched their 14-point advantage get erased by the Springfield College Pride. The Pride rallied during the final two quarters to defeat the Mustangs, 49-42.

In this particular video, both Landers and Drosendahl discuss the loss to Springfield, but also what they learned from it.

The Mustangs rebounded from their emotional defeat last Saturday with a come from behind victory against the Cadets, which was orchestrated by Drosendahl.

This week, Mount Ida will attempt to earn its fourth win of the season when they host Anna Maria College, a squad that will certainly challenge the Mustangs offense and defense, according to Landers.
