MIT’s Laux Named NEFC Defensive Player Of The Week

MIT’s junior linebacker Jake Laux was named this week’s New England Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Against Salve Regina on Friday, Laux led the Engineers defense with 12 tackles (six solo) and recorded an interception on the Seahawks final drive with 30 seconds remaining seal the 20-19 victory for MIT.

Laux has played in all seven contests this season and leads the team with 91 total tackles.

The Engineers will return to the gridiron next week when they travel to Nichols College on Saturday to face the Bison.
