Mass. College Football: Framingham State Ranks Second In New England Poll

By Matt Noonan

The most recent New England Div. III Football Poll was unveiled today and following last week’s shocker in Cambridge, Salve Regina was knocked out of the top spot. Trinity College took over as the top squad in the region, but right behind them is Framingham State, a squad that hasn’t lost a game since their home opener against Endicott College on Labor Day Weekend.

The Rams moved up one spot from third to second, while Amherst College leaped from seventh to sixth.

Bridgewater State remained locked in the fifth spot for a second week, and Endicott College, Mount Ida College and Springfield College rounded out the final three spots.

The Pride, who’re ranked 10th in the region, did not appear on the list last week. However, their last appearance on this particular list came during the week of Sept. 24.
