WORCESTER, MA — The six-game losing streak came to a screeching halt Saturday afternoon, as WPI pounded Liberty League foe St. Lawrence, 36-17.
Engineers quarterback John Antonopoulos tallied four touchdowns (three through the air, one on the ground) and completed 26-of-47 passes for career-best 347 yards.
On the other side of the ball, defensive back Mitch McClune set a school-record with four interceptions in his team’s first conference win of the season.
After the game concluded, Noontime Sports caught up with Antonopoulos to talk about his team’s victory against the Saints.
