Worcester City Tournament: Worcester State 72, Becker College 48

WORCESTER, MA — The Worcester State Lancers women’s basketball team rebounded from their semi-final loss against Clark University with a 72-48 win on Saturday afternoon against Becker College in the consolation game.

Meaghan O’Keefe paced the Lancers with 20 points, Kelli McPherson added 14 points off the bench and Shannon El-Qasem led all players with 11 rebounds.

The Lancers finished the game with 54 rebounds (15 offensive, 39 defensive), 22 assists, eight steals and seven blocks.

Becker College was led by Tatiana Mojica, who registered 18 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Chelsea Joubert contributed 14 points and three rebounds.
