Worcester City Shootout Tournament: Becker 6, Nichols 3 (Game Summary)

BURRIVILLE, R.I. – For the second time in two seasons, Becker College earned a spot in the Worcester City Shootout Tournament championship following a 6-3 win against Nichols College.

Don Kane led all scorers with two goals, while Branden Parkhouse chipped in a goal and three assists in his team’s third win of the season. Gerald Owen also recorded three assists, too.

Nichols College’s Paul Prescott, Kyle Shapiro and Tyler Beasley all scored one goal in the loss.

Becker’s Greg Hussey recorded 27 saves between the pipes, while Dylan Woodring saved 19 shots.

Nichols will face the loser of Assumption-Worcester State in the tournament’s consolation game at 12:10 p.m., while Becker will take on the winner in the championship at 3:10 p.m.
