Worcester City Shootout Tournament: Becker 2, Worcester State 2 (Second Period Summary)

By Matt Noonan

BURRILLVILLE, R.I – In one of the wildest periods of the weekend, both Becker College and Worcester State University were whistled for game-misconduct.

Becker’s Nick DiNaro and Worcester State’s Vinny Bohn each received 10 minutes in the box halfway through the middle frame. However, DiNaro was ushered off the ice for an elbow to the head, along with his game-misconduct, which means the Ice Hawks will have one less skater once the final period begins.

The Ice Hawks retained their lead at 15:08 with a Korby Anderson goal, which was setup by Branden Parkhouse.

The Lancers responded with a power play goal at 18:39 by Joe White, which evened the score at 2 after two frames.

Becker College is the defending champions of the Worcester City Shootout Tournament, so it’ll be interesting if they can pullout another victory against Worcester State.
