Mass. College Hoops: Tyrone Figueroa Discusses Game-Winning Shot (VIDEO)

By Matt Noonan

FRAMINGHAM, MA – With the score tied at 42, Framingham State’s men’s basketball team had just 13 seconds to draw up the game-winning play. And that play happened to the following: find Tyrone Figueroa and score.

Figueroa collected the inbounds pass following his team’s second to last timeout and managed to find an opening on the left-hand side of the court. He then drove past the Lesley University defenders and scored the go-ahead bucket on a left-hand lay-in, which provided the host Rams with a 44-42 victory.

Framingham State is now 3-1 on the season and will attempt to earn their fourth consecutive win on Thursday when they host Mount Ida College. For more information on the game — HOP HERE for the press release.

Below we’ve provided Figueroa’s post-game thoughts, as well as his description of his game-winning bucket.
