Mass. College Hoops: WACBA Rookies Of The Week (Week Two)
The second week of the college basketball season in Worcester is in the books. And with that being the case, here is this week’s WACBA Rookies of the Week.
Men’s Rookie of the Week: Aaron Davis (WPI) – The Marshfield native filled the stat sheet this past week by totaling 13 assists, 10 points, seven rebounds, three steals and a few blocks in the Engineers non-conference victories against Becker College and Curry College. Davis led all players in assists in both games, but was also instrumental during a late 15-0 run against the Colonels with two blocks, which led to a four-point play by Marco Coppola on the other end that secured WPI’s lead for good.
Women’s Rookie of the Week: Raquel Scott (Holy Cross) – For the second week in a row, Scott earned this particular honor following two quality outings against Harvard and UMass. Against the Crimson, she recorded a career-best six rebounds, as well as chipped in nine points, one assist, one block and one steal.
