Mass. College Hoops: Becker Extends NECC Winning Streak To 36 Games

By NoontimeSports.com

On Tuesday, Becker College’s men’s basketball team picked up their third win of the season against Daniel Webster. And while the Hawks mark of 3-4 may not sound too enthralling, the win extended their NECC conference winning streak to 36 games.

The Hawks haven’t dropped a New England Collegiate Conference match since February 9, 2010, against Elms College. Becker is currently undefeated at home and hasn’t lost in Leicester since the 2008-2009 season.

According to the Hawks athletic website, their conference winning streak is the longest in the entire nation.

Becker began their season with three straight losses, but rebounded with back-to-back wins against Anna Maria and Fitchburg State. Last Saturday, the Hawks fell to Brandeis, but then recovered with their most recent victory against Daniel Webster.

The Hawks will attempt to match their two-game winning streak from earlier when they host Clark University on Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
