Mass. College Hoops: Becker Men’s Conference Streak Concludes At 37

Becker College’s men’s basketball team saw its New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) winning streak of 37 games conclude on Tuesday evening, as Newbury College defeated the Hawks, 74-63.

The Hawks hadn’t lost a conference game dating back to February 2010, and will attempt to rebound on Thursday when they travel to Lesley University on Thursday.

Becker was the only men’s basketball team in the state that entered the current season with a winning streak of 30 games or more. However, with their streak officially over, we can now turn our attention Babson College’s women’s team, which hasn’t dropped a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest since the 2008-09 season.
