The 2013 NCAA Division III Softball tournament will commence this week with 62 teams vying for eight spots in the final bracket. And five of those squads hail from Massachusetts.

Below is the teams’ history, as well as their first round game.
Babson College – The Beavers make their first appearance since 2006 and are 3-4 overall.

Lesley University – The Lynx will make their third straight appearance and have never won a tournament tilt.
Springfield College – Similar to the Bears, the Pride return to the tournament for the first time since 2009, and are 5-12 overall.
