By Matt Noonan

After his team’s Tuesday morning practice last week,  Assumption College senior tight end Scott Simonson talked  about the Greyhounds’ training camp thus far in a video interview, which we’ve provided below.

Simonson, who was recently named a College Football America Division II Preseason All-American, is optimistic about the team’s upcoming season, which begins on Saturday, September 7 at Bryant University.

Last season, the New Jersey native recorded 36 receptions for 558-yard season with a  team-high six receiving touchdowns. Simonson was also a Northeast-10 Second Team All-Conference honoree, as well as a Worcester Area First Team All-Star, a Don Hansen’s Football Gazette Super Region I First Team All-Region honoree and a two-time selection to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
