Merrimack, which finished 11-3 overall and 10-1 in conference play, rounded out the magazine’s Top-10 as the 10th best squad in Division 2.

The Warriors, who saw their season conclude in the Northeast-10 Conference semifinals last May to Le Moyne, will begin their 2014 campaign on Saturday, March 1 when they host Saint Rose for a 1 p.m. face-off. Merrimack will have a chance to avenge their conference tournament setback to the Dolphins on Tuesday, March 25 when they travel to New York for a 4 p.m. contest. Lacrosse Magazine ranked Le Moyne the second best squad in the division.

Merrimack will return a majority of its players from last year. However, they did graduate 10 players, including Greg Melaugh and Corey Lunney, two players that combined for 109 points (85 goals, 24 assists).

Jamie Shand, a junior attack, ranked third on the team in points (47) last season, but did register 22 goals and a team-best 25 assists.
