The Holy Cross women’s lacrosse team fell to Bryant University in their home-opener, 8-7 (OT).

Kate Martino tied the game late in the second half for the Crusaders, which forced an extra session, but the Bulldogs managed to secure their first win of the season with a strike from Kimberley Sniffen with 12 seconds remaining.

Kaitlin Concilio and Sara Hennessey each netted two goals in the setback, while Sarah Weber deflected eight shots between the pipes.

Holy Cross returns to action next Tuesday, February 18 when they travel to UMass for a 3 p.m. start.
