WORCESTER, Mass. – Following their 64-46 win over No. 11 WPI, MIT’s head coach Larry Anderson and Matt Redfield chatted about their team’s effort, along with their second half start, which helped the Engineers secure the lead for good.
MIT and WPI entered the break tied, 29-29, but thanks to a Redfield jumper, along with a triple by Ryan Frankel and a layup by Dennis Levene, the Engineers were able to pull away.
The Engineers will return to Harrington Auditorium tomorrow to face Springfield College. The Pride earned a spot in their third consecutive tournament championship contest following an 85-77 overtime victory against Babson College.
