It was another busy day in the college lacrosse world and below is a few outcomes and summaries.

Men’s Lacrosse:

Merrimack 11, LIU Post 10: Jamie Shand netted back-to-back goals at 4:58 and 2:43 in the fourth quarter, which provided the Warriors with an 11-8 lead. However, Merrimack’s defense was tested down the stretch as the unit yielded two additional markers before the final horn sounded Shand finished with a hat trick, while Dom Madonna picked up his third win between the pipes.

Women’s Lacrosse:

BC 11, Holy Cross 5: Mikaela Rix paced the Eagles with three goals and one assist (four points) as Boston College defeated Holy Cross in Newton. BC’s Moira Barry also registered a hat trick in the win, while Holy Cross received two tallies from Kate Martino.

BU 19, UNH 9: Elizabeth Morse connected on five of seven shots for five goals as the Terriers defeated the Wildcats in Boston. BU’s Caroline Meegan and Christina Sheridan combined for nine stops, while Kelsey Marafioti and Becca Church each netted hat tricks.

Harvard 12, Vanderbilt 8: Marissa Romeo scored a game-high six goals as the Crimson defeated the Commodores in Cambridge. Harvard’s Kelly Weis finished with 10 stops.

Stonehill 17, Southern New Hampshire 5: Lizzie Lane’s marker at 23:44 in the opening session jumpstarted a 4-0 run for the Skyhawks, which pushed the hosts ahead for good as Stonehill picked up its fifth win of the season. Lane finished with two goals, while Kelsey Shannahan recorded a game-high six tallies.
