Boston University commences second season with 18-6 win over Mercer: The BU men’s lacrosse team started their 2015 campaign with an 18-6 win over Mercer.

Due to the snowy conditions, the Terriers played their season-opener in Cambridge at the Harvard Stadium Bubble.

Freshmen Jack Wilson and Ryan Hilburn combined for six goals and four assists – 10 points – while Christian Carson-Banister turned away 10 shots, including four attempts in the opening session.

BU jumped out to a 6-0 lead, which ballooned into an 11-1 advantage at the break.

Wilson finished with a team-high 13 shots, while Sam Talkow scooped 10 ground balls.
