New England D3 Football: WNE Ranked Ninth In NCAA D3 East Regional Rankings

The first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings for the 2016 football season were released this afternoon with just one New England squad appearing on the East Region Top 10 list. Western New England checked-in ninth overall – just one spot ahead of Frostburg State, which ranked 10th in the East Region.

The Golden Bears are one of four teams in the region with an 8-0 overall record. All four teams, including the Golden Bears, are also 8-0 in-region, too.

Alfred (1st), Stevenson (2nd) and St. John Fisher (3rd) earned the top three spots, while Salisbury and St. Lawrence checked in fourth and fifth, respectively.
