Endicott Finishes CCC Play Undefeated, Secures Top Sports In Tournament

Following a 15-4 win this afternoon over Gordon College, the Endicott College men’s lacrosse team capped its regular season with a perfect 8-0 ledger in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play, along with the top spot in the upcoming conference tournament.

The CCC Tournament will commence this Saturday, April 29th with a pair of first-round games with the winners advancing to next Wednesday’s (May 3rd) semifinals.

The championship will occur a week from this Saturday – that would be Saturday, May 6th, to be exact – with the winner securing the conference’s automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division III Tournament.

Will Jennings highlighted his team’s final regular season outing, netting five goals, while dishing out a pair of assists. Colin Bannon concluded the contest with two goals and two assists, Will Clark recorded a hat trick and Tommy Hughes won 15 of 17 face-offs.

Endicott outshot Gordon, 45-37, while scooping 48 ground balls, including 15 in the second session.

Gordon, which concluded its 2017 season this afternoon, received a team-high two goals from Thor Rasmussen.
