It was a dramatic (and exciting) finish to today’s Bridgewater State-Endicott College football game.

Trailing the Bears by six (28-22) with less than two minutes remaining, Endicott capped its final drive with two impressive catches, including a game-winning touchdown grab by Sheilan Velazquez with no time remaining, which helped the Gulls escape with a one-point (29-28) win.

Prior to Velazquez’s game-winning grab – his first of his career – Endicott quarterback Joe Kalosky extended his team’s final drive with a key fourth down pass over the middle to Brendan Johnson. Johnson’s catch (as seen below) was an impressive one-handed 51-yard snatch.

Bridgewater State and Endicott College swapped leads throughout the contest before the Bears jumped ahead, 28-22, thanks to a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns by Alex McLaughlin (one-yard touchdown run) and Jonathan Marrero touchdown pass to Brandon Giles (19 yard touchdown reception).

Kalosky concluded the contest with four touchdown passes – two of his scores were hauled-in by Riley Shanley, who concluded the contest with six receptions for 99 yards.
