It was announced on Monday, November 13th that four NCAA Division III football teams will be competing this year’s New England Bowl, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 18th.
Framingham State, last year’s victor, will entertain Curry College at 12 p.m., while SUNY Maritime will visit WPI for a 6 p.m. kick-off.
Last year’s New England Bowl featured just two teams – Framingham State and Salve Regina – while this year’s bowl features a pair of match-ups with each team representing the following conferences: Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC), Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC), Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) and New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).
Framingham State, which defeated Salve Regina last season, capped its season with a 48-20 win, thanks to pair of touchdown receptions from first-year wide receiver Shaq Joseph.
Curry College rebounded from a disappointing setback against Western New England by defeating Salve Regina, 37-20, while SUNY Maritime and WPI both won their respective season finales.
According to this mornings release about both games, tickets can be purchased the day of each contest. Tickets for adults are $10, while students and children is $5. Children under the age of six will be admitted free.
