Happy Friday, everyone! Let’s kick-off a LONG weekend with another editor of ‘Weekend Watch,’ highlighting New England D3 basketball games to watch over the next few days!
For starters, Wesleyan University men’s basketball will make the trek to upstate New York this evening to face Hamilton College in an important New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) clash. The Continentals enter the game riding a 12-game winning streak – they also secured their initial conference win earlier this week when they defeated Trinity College, 78-55. The Cardinals fell to Williams College in overtime last Friday, but rebounded with a 10-point win over Middlebury College. Against the Panthers, three players recorded 12 points or more, so look for a team effort against the Continentals this evening.
Other games to watch tonight include Tufts University at Williams (men’s basketball) at 7 p.m. and Trinity at Bowdoin College (men’s basketball) at 7 p.m. On the women’s side, keep an eye on Amherst College at Connecticut College at 7 p.m. and Williams at Tufts (also at 7 p.m.).
As of this morning, Bowdoin and Middlebury (women’s basketball) are both 2-0 in conference play, while Amherst and Hamilton are 1-0, respectively.
Turn the page to Saturday and we have a boat-load of games to watch, including UMass Boston at West Conn. – can the Beacons win their fifth-straight Little East Conference (LEC) tilt? UMass Boston has been a tremendous story thus far, thanks to 13 impressive first-year players.

Just a few games to watch on Sunday, including Colby College (women’s basketball) at Trinity – the Mules will look to return to the win column after falling to Maine Maritime earlier this week by a score of 67-59. The Bantams will be coming off a Friday evening tilt against Polar Bears.
Also on Sunday, Colby-Trinity (men’s basketball) will face-off in Maine. The Mules won back-to-back games this weekend, including an 87-79 win over Pine Manor, thanks to 11 points and 12 rebounds from Dean Weiner.
