Happy Friday, everyone! And welcome to a brand new weekend – let’s go!
In honor of the second Friday of the month – well, every Friday throughout the school year – it is time for our weekly edition of 10 Games to Watch in New England D3 Hoops.
Last week, we struggled. We finished 4-6 to bump our overall record to 52-28.

Williams College at Amherst College (WBB) | Friday, February 8th at 7 p.m.: No matter the records, this is one of the best rivalries in the state of Massachusetts. Amherst has a great deal of momentum since falling to Bowdoin College two weeks ago. PREDICTION: Amherst College
Middlebury College at Hamilton College (WBB) | Friday, February 8th at 7 p.m.: It has been a difficult stretch for the Panthers, who look to return to the win column for the first time since late January. PREDICTION: Middlebury College
Springfield College at Babson College (WBB) | Saturday, February 9th at 1 p.m.: The Beavers will attempt to earn a season-sweep after going 1-2 in their last three outings. Springfield is also 1-2 in its last three meetings, so this a big one to help determine seeds for the upcoming conference tournament. PREDICTION: Babson College
Westfield State at Salem State (MBB) | Saturday, February 9th at 1 p.m.: The Vikings may have secured the top spot in the upcoming conference tournament, but this is certainly not a game they can overlook, especially since they needed overtime to beat the Owls last month. PREDICTION: Salem State
WPI at Emerson College (MBB) | Saturday, February 9th at 1 p.m.: After falling to Coast Guard last week, the Engineers rebounded with an important win earlier this week over Babson College. That win should be enough momentum to carry the Engineers past the Lions, who lost to the Red and White by two points last month. PREDICTION: WPI
Smith College at MIT (WBB) | Saturday, February 9th at 2 p.m.: This is a BIG one for both teams with the conference tournament on the horizon. Smith hasn’t lost since falling to Middlebury, while MIT has won three of its last five. If the Pioneers connect from beyond the arc, it could be a LONG day for the Engineers. PREDICTION: Smith College
Emmanuel College at Colby-Sawyer (MBB) | Saturday, February 9th at 3 p.m.: Last week, we picked the Saints to beat the Monks. This week, we expect them to win their Saturday tilt with Colby-Sawyer, but they better be ready to drain a lot of three’s. PREDICTION: Emmanuel College
Amherst College at Middlebury College (MBB) | Saturday, February 9th at 3 p.m.: The Panthers have some serious momentum heading into a pair of important conference tilts this weekend, including a mid-to-late afternoon clash with the Mammoths. Pending how things go Friday against Hamilton College, look for a solid effort, along with a late bucket to send the Panthers past the Mammoths. PREDICTION: Middlebury College
Salve Regina at Gordon College (MBB) | Saturday, February 9th at 3 p.m.: The Fighting Scots host the Seahawks on Saturday – the Blue and White only beat Salve Regina by nine points last time, so don’t expect one of the region’s best teams to roll past the Green and Blue. PREDICTION: Gordon College
Trinity College at Tufts University (WBB) | Sunday, February 10th at 2 p.m.: After falling to Amherst last Friday, the Jumbos rebounded with two important wins over Babson College and Hamilton College. Look the Powder Blue and White to cap its regular season slate with a win over the Bantams. PREDICTION: Tufts University
