WORCESTER – With another week of Worcester basketball in the books, it’s now time to unveil our latest Worcester Area College Basketball Association (WACBA) Women’s Basketball Honor Roll, which includes women’s player and rookie of the week.

Women’s Player of the Week: Brittany Herring (Worcester State | Sr. | West Brookfield, Mass.): Herring averaged 25 points and 11 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Lancers. She exploded for a career-high 32 points on 11 of 14 shooting this past Saturday against Westfield State while snatching 15 rebounds (her second-highest total of the current season) in an 82-77 setback. Three days earlier against Bridgewater State, she netted 18 points on 9 of 11 shooting, while recording seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in a 79-54 victory against Bridgewater State.
Women’s Rookie of the Week: Oluchi Ezemma (Holy Cross) | Fr. | Hope Valley, R.I.): Ezemma matched her career-high with 10 points off the bench in a 64-61 Turnpike Trophy victory over Boston University this past Saturday, while also chipping in six rebounds. Prior to her impressive showing against the Terriers, she produced eight points and eight rebounds, along with two steals in a three-point win over Navy
Women’s Basketball Milestone: Adrianna Dowdy (Becker College | Sr. | East Haven, Conn.): Dowdy became Becker’s all-time leader in career rebounding this past Saturday, as she pulled down 13 rebounds in a heart-breaking 41-39 loss to Mitchell College. Dowdy, who entered the day with exactly 1000 career rebounds, passed former Becker great Dawn Fitzpatrick as Becker’s all-time leading rebounder. Dowdy pulled down her eighth board of the day off a defensive rebound with 1:11 to go in the second quarter, breaking Fitzpatrick’s old record of 1,007. Dowdy would snag five more caroms to bump her career rebounding total to 1,013. As of press time, Dowdy is one of only nine active players in the nation with 1000 career points and rebounds.
Hannah Favaloro (Clark University | Soph. | Blackstone, Mass.): Favaloro led the Cougars offensively with 31 points in a 1-1 week. She began the week with 10 points and three rebounds in a victory over Mount Holyoke last Wednesday before posting a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds in a setback at Springfield College this past weekend.
Lauren Manis (Holy Cross) | Jr. | Franklin, Mass.): Manis recorded a pair of double-doubles in a 2-0 week for the Crusaders. Against Navy last Wednesday, she chipped in 13 points and 14 rebounds before posting 11 points and 11 rebounds in a 64-61 win over Boston University.
Angelina Marazzi (Fitchburg State | Jr. | Manchester, N.H.): Marazzi averaged 13.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, five assists and 1.3 steals per contest in three games for the Falcons this past week. She collected ten points, six assists and one steal in a 66-39 setback to Keene State on Monday before adding 15 points, eight boards, four assists and three steals in an 89-61 setback to Westfield State on Wednesday. Marazzi concluded the week with 16 points, two caroms, and five assists in an 89-61 setback to Bridgewater State on Saturday.
