A busy week (and weekend) of conference championships have concluded. And Amherst College enters the new week not only as the winner of the 2019 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) championship but also our top team in New England.

Nichols College, which captured its third-consecutive Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) crown, moved up two spots to the second position, while Hamilton College dropped one spot after finishing second in the 2019 NESCAC Tournament.

MIT and Keene State rounded out the top five, checking-in fourth and fifth, respectively, while Williams College, Middlebury College, and Albertus Magnus secured the sixth, seventh, and eighth positions.

Gordon College checked-in for a second-straight week at the ninth position, while Emerson College earned our final spot after beating WPI last Saturday to claim its first-ever New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championship. The win secured the Lions an automatic berth for the upcoming NCAA Tournament, which will begin on Friday, March 1st.

Joining the Lions in this year’s national postseason are two teams on the rise, Mitchell College and Salem State, which both captured their respective conference crowns last Saturday.
