Middlebury College moved into the top spot in our weekly Noontime Sports New England D-III Men’s Basketball Top 10 this week after picking up their sixth and seventh wins against Northern Vermont-Johnson and Endicott College, respectively.
Against the Gulls on Sunday, the Panthers erased a six-point deficit at the break and outscored the hosts, 54-28 in the second half to secure a 98-78 win.
Hamilton College and Nichols College each moved-up – the Bison improved to 5-0 yesterday with a win over Trinity College. Nichols, which checked-in fourth one week ago, hosts Wentworth Institute of Technology on Wednesday, December 4th. It should be an interesting conference clash.
Tufts University moved-up two spots following a recent (and hard-fought) win over MIT while Colby College jumped three spots after concluding Thanksgiving weekend with a pair of road wins.
Finally, we welcomed Brandeis University to this week’s poll – the Judges have won four of six contests thus far and will face Lasell University on Tuesday before competing against Tufts in the New England Big Four Challenge.
