Ah, the return of baseball – welcome back, Major League Baseball (MLB) … you have been missed!

In anticipation of a brand new season, which gets underway tomorrow with the Chicago Cubs visiting the Miami Marlins, here are my picks for the 2018 year, including who will win the World Series – or at least an attempt. Please be kind on social media, everyone! 🙄

The Tigers defeated the Yankees on Thursday to advance to the ALCS!

Alright, it’s officially Friday, which means the weekend is ready to start! Here’s the day’s headlines, news and more! 

Headlines: 

* Despite losing in Detroit, the Tigers earned an impressive Game 5 win in the Bronx against the New York Yankees to clinch a spot in the American League Championship series against the Texas Rangers.

* Game 5 of the National League Divisional Series between Arizona and Milwaukee is Friday evening, however some believe the Brewers should win, especially since they’ll be playing at home.

* Game 5 of St.Louis-Philadelphia should be exciting, as Roy Halladay will oppose Chris Carpenter.

* Once again, the New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie is yapping at Tom Brady, but this time – he’s asked the quarterback to throw the ball his way.

* The Boston Bruins celebrated their sixth Stanley Cup Championship on Thursday, but lost to the Philadelphia Flyers, 2-1.

* The Miami Dolphins will have a new quarterback for the rest of the season, as Chad Henne opted for shoulder surgery and won’t return to the gridiron until most likely next season.

Headlines: 

* The Arizona Diamondbacks forced a critical fifth game on Wednesday, as they defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 10-6.

* According to sources, Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson won’t play on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.

* There’s still no news to report about the Boston Red Sox, as well as General Manager Theo Epstein too.

* New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady literally ignored Antonio Cromartie‘s comments on Wednesday, as well as told the media, “I don’t care what he says about me, I really don’t.” He also admitted that he’s a great player, but didn’t respond to his ignorant comments.

* Terrell Owens apparently told the media that he’ll be ready to return to the NFL soon.

* According to ProBasketballTalk.com – NBA players would lose $200 million if the fist two weeks are cancelled.

Meriweather is no longer a New England Patriot, but instead, a Chicago Bear!

Happy Labor Day! We’re here to kick-off the final day of this awesome three-day weekend, so without further ado, here’s the headlines and news of the day, enjoy! 

Headlines: 

* The Chicago Bears made an interesting move on Sunday, as they acquired former New England Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather.

* Once again, the Boston Red Sox lost another series to a division leader, which isn’t a good sign. The Texas Rangers beat up the Sox on Sunday, which leaves some fans wondering, what’s going on with the “nation?”

* Well, the defending San Francisco Giants are in trouble, as yet again, they lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday and now trail them by seven games in the standings.

* Apparently Aaron Rodgers‘ mustache gives him “extra” exposure, yet, why would the Green Bay Packers quarterback need it?

* Derek Jeter recoded 5 RBIs on Sunday, while CC Sabathia picked up his 19th win of the season against the Toronto Blue Jays.

* This past weekend, the NCAA struggled against Mother Nature, who caused quite a stir in South Bend, Indiana during Notre Dame’s home opener.

Happy Hump Day, y’all and welcome into yet another awesome edition of the Daily Noontime! Here’s the headlines and news of the day, so enjoy, duh! 

Headlines: 

* Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, Hines Ward has recorded 954 receptions, but admitted to the media how “awesome” it would be to reach 1,000 catches.

* According to New York “Football” Giants quarterback Eli Manning, he’s technically in the same class, as New England Patriots gun-slinger, Tom Brady.

* Apparently Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo feels like a “kid” again, as he’s having fun at training camp.

* The Detroit Tigers watched Justin Verlander win his 18th game on the mound Tuesday against the Minnesota Twins, 7-1. Verlander has had quite an impressive season and is certainly on course to possibly win 25 games.

* Do you know the name Nevin Shapiro? Well, in case you don’t, he’s a booster for the University of Miami football that clearly took care of various players over the years.

* Philadelphia Phillies pitcher, Roy Halladay fanned 14 batters on Tuesday, however, he also watched his team lose to the Arizona Diamondbacks too, which isn’t so exciting, right?
