The fifth week of the 2018-19 Northeast (New England/New York) D3 women’s ice hockey season is in the books, which means it is time to unveil our fifth poll of the season.

Plattsburgh State secured the top spot following an impressive 4-1 win on Sunday over Elmira College in Middlebury, Vermont. The three-goal win erased a 1-0 setback one day earlier to Adrian College, which defeated fourth-ranked Middlebury College by a score of 4-1.

The Cardinals’ impressive win over Elmira bumps their overall record to 6-1 – the win should certainly provide the Red and White with some momentum heading into an important weekend series with ninth-ranked Oswego State.

Despite falling to eighth-ranked Utica College on Sunday, the Continentals of Hamilton College joined this week’s poll following recent wins over tenth-ranked Williams College and Morrisville State. The Blue and Gold visit Colby College for an important conference series on Friday and Saturday.
